Our mission is to assist, support and help you to understand the court proceedings in England and Wales.
We specialize in helping Polish community in England who have family court proceedings regarding children and finances and we also assist in English divorces.
Client’s Documents and Files
Each time all information will be sent to the email or the address of the client from the Court. You are the legal owner of all your documents, not ASK MONTGOMERY ADVOCATES.
We do not archive or keep any files on your behalf.
Access to your divorce documents
The clients have their own access to all their documents from the beginning of their divorce by logging in with their e-mail and password. The password can be changed.
The client is the legal owner and must ensure that they keep all their documents safely.
We are not a SRA firm. You are a litigant in person.
We are legal advisers and Instructing Lawyers holding BAR STANDARDS BOARD certificate, and we offer:

Consultation Cancellation Policy
All paid consultations are scheduled for a specific date and time.
If a paid consultation is not attended or used at the scheduled time, it will unfortunately be forfeited and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
If you wish to cancel or reschedule your paid consultation, you must notify us at least 12 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 12 hours before the consultation will not be eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
Our Mission
Ask Montgomery Limited was founded to facilitate Polish clients communication with the English courts. We understand that Polish law and understanding the court process is different than English and there is no much knowledge and understanding how the English legal system works.
Polish clients who go through stressful court proceedings in England do not often know how to present themselves in the court, what clothes to wear, how to address a judge. They do not know the difference between a barrister and a solicitor because there is no such difference in the Polish court judicial system.
Majority of Polish citizens in the UK, when a problem arises, they do not even know where to seek help. If they require representation in Court, and they wish, we can recommend Bar Standards Board registered barrister and we can Instruct them. The barrister can speak with the client about their case.
We will facilitate your communication in English by providing court assistance, translation and interpretation services.

Your Statutory Rights
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights (legal rights) in any way.
Service and Delivery
After completing the purchase of any of our services, you will be sent an e-mail with instructions. You will get some guiding related to your case via email.
We will open your divorce account and prepare divorce documents usually within 1-3 days.
Your family case documents will be delivered to your email address.
If you require documents to be sent by post, there will be a charge to cover the cost of postage, printing and time. These charges are listed in the court fees and other occasional charges below.
14 Day Refund Policy
This website complies with The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 in that you have a 14 day cooling off period to decide whether you wish to proceed with services supplied directly by Ask Montgomery Limited, which starts on the day after you have purchased the service.
However, certain exemptions apply
- If you have provided us with any information regarding your case, documents, received advice, made phone calls to talk with us, completed any questions provided by us regarding your case within the cooling off period, we will get only part refund ( less an administration charge for work carried out to the point of your request). These charges are available on request as different charges apply depending on the service purchased.
- If we have sent any of your documents to you – no refund will be payable in any event.
- Services purchased as part of packages announced on our website are non-refundable after 14 days from the date of payment. It means that when buying a package, you are obliged to provide all the information required by the time limit indicated by us and usually within 2 working days.
Unused service, for example, because the customer changed his mind or did not send requested information is non-refundable after 14 days.
Immediate termination
Ask Montgomery reserves the right to immediately terminate and terminate any relationship without refund with anyone who breaches the client-employee-office relationship:
offensive language towards an employee of the company,
show an attitude of disrespect to the employee of the company,
swear or otherwise insult an employee of the company and the office
are in arrears with payment for the service
are intimidating and humiliating
they send intrusive correspondence to the office
they do not communicate with the office regularly, at least 1 x10 days[ once per 10 days] to provide an agreed update on their mortgage/ children matters and especially when they have a matter concerning children or finances
they provide misleading information and cause chaos in communication
they cause delays by not providing the required information
do not show much interest in their case
they provide information that is not true
Communication with us
You are purchasing an online service that relies on a certain level of automation. Please ensure that you regularly communicate with us. Your responsibility is to check your divorce online account frequently and inform us of any changes on your account immediately.
If your case is between 6 months and 12 months old without any contact from you. You will be charged a reactivation charge of £250.00. If it is over 1 years old, you will have to pay full price for a full service as we no longer hold your records.
Court fees and occasional additional Charges
You understand that court filing fees are payable on all court actions unless you are exempt. For a standard divorce they are currently £593, for a consent order they are £53 and for a child arrangements £232. Different court fees are requested by Scots Courts. You may be exempt from court fees if you are on low income or benefits. Please ask us for more information and we will be able to advise you.
We also occasionally have to charge an administration fee when extra work is involved over and above the original service.
Here are some examples:
Where the court service has changed the format of official documents, but clients have not filed them at court prior to those changes taking effect and new documents need to be prepared.
Where you require amendments to your documents once they have been created checked and sent to you.
If the court require you to file additional documents or paperwork, we sometimes have to charge for additional documents that fall outside the scope of an undefended divorce.
If additional court fees must be charged to comply with court orders, then these will be payable to the court and we will notify of them if required.
Payment of court fees through Ask Montgomery Limited
If you wish to pay court fees through us, we will charge an administration charge to cover our costs. Please ask as the charges vary depending on the fee to be paid.
Postal Charges
If you require documents to be posted the fees are as follows
Photocopying price – depending on the number of pages.
Divorce and consent order services £30.00
Recorded and special delivery by arrangement.
Document Translation and Drafting – included in a package; if you want more documents translated, an additional price will be given.
Consent Orders and other Agreements
Drafts of financial consent orders will normally be delivered with 30 working days of receiving your instructions and full information, but this may not always be achievable because of the complexity or nature of the terms of the order. We will advise you if that timetable needs to be extended.
Ask Montgomery Limited can provide you with information regarding your documents but you are strongly advised to seek solicitor advice on the terms of any settlement you have reached as the court has a wide discretion to refuse to grant an order, request more information or raise questions.
You also agree that you will check your drafted order for any omissions or errors upon receipt before filing any document with the court.
We reserve the right to charge additional fees if your order needs substantial amendment after it has been drafted or filed or in order to comply with any judicial request. The fee will be no more than £150 per request. No fee will be payable if the mistake is the fault of Ask Montgomery Limited.
Legal Advice, Limitation of Liability in respect of the documents and service
We may give factual and procedural information but in order to provide you with binding legal advice regarding your documents or any aspect of your case, we can recommend you Bar Standards Board barrister or a registered lawyer and you proceed on that basis.
We cannot be held liable for any action you undertake in any proceedings whatsoever, save where we are in breach of contract.
If you wish, we can act as a translation agency and translate your divorce and court documents for you.
At your request, Ask Montgomery Translators and Paralegals can help you with preparing court documentation as well as with court statements.
Whilst we and our experts who have drafted the template documents have taken every care to ensure the accuracy of the contents of the documents, due to the continuing changing nature of the legal system, the information contained in the documents will during the passage of time need to be updated. Therefore you must process your documents within 1 month of purchase.
Where we are instructed to manage your divorce or any court proceeding, you act as a litigant in person
If you choose, you can be represented by a barrister during your court proceedings.
The court will communicate only with you regarding your proceedings and documentation.
You may not use your documents from us for any other purpose except for your own personal use. You may however use the documents as many times as you wish. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, products or services obtained from this Web site.
Court Representation & Barristers Services
If you require legal representation in the court, we can contact you with our network of highly skilled barristers, regulated by Bar Standards Board/ England. Upon receipt of your payment, they will send you a client care letter with their terms and conditions.
You have 14 days from receipt of their terms to accept or reject those terms and a full refund will be given or part of the costs if any work has been done. Thereafter, any refund or dispute will be with the chambers. Ask Montgomery Advocates Limited will receive a marketing fee for this service which will be outlined to you in our communication and our own invoice.
